Happy Memorial Day Weekend! I hope you all enjoyed the start of summer! We had a big, fun week at the Buechler house! Thursday Josh had off of work so he got to hang out with Jolie all day. They even came to visit Mommy at work and brought her work and said 'hello' to all her work buddies. I tried convincing them that she could fit into my one of my desk drawers and hang out all day, but I suppose it might be a problem when we need to do diaper changes.
Friday while Mom and Dad were at work, Jolie got to hang out all day with Grandma and Grandpa Dibbern and Uncle Brett--and she managed to keep all of them busy! At school the ratio is 4 infants for 1 teacher, but at home it's 1 infant for many adults! Friday evening we went to do Jolie's three month pictures which we thought would be easy compared to her newborn. Of course, we were so wrong! Jolie was not a happy camper and started yelling the minute we got everything set up. We noticed she was a little happier outside, so we ended up taking almost all of them outside in an ally! Good grief-she can be a stinker!
Saturday Josh was working so we spent the day again with Grandma and Grandpa Dibbern and Uncle Brett. Grandma took Jolie and Petey for a walk and Petey ended up riding in the stroller--which he thought was awesome! Jolie even gave her Uncle Brett a little ‘present’ when he was feeding her, in the form of a blow out diaper that got on Brett’s pants too. That’s how you know she really loves you—she’ll poop on you! Then once Josh got home we went to Jolie's favorite place--THE MALL! And of course, she got lots of new clothes and is ready for a fashion show this summer.
Sunday we had a shift change. Grandma and Grandpa Dibbern and Uncle Brett left for Nebraska and Grandma and Grandpa Buechler came to Des Moines. Grandma Buechler had been busy with a surprise for us. When she watched Jolie earlier this month, she was very sneaky and took some hand and foot prints and put them into a very cool frame that matches her room! She said Jolie was quite the artist and enjoyed squishing paint in her hands but she really had to pry them open to get hand prints! It turned out awesome and was a very cool surprise! She also found Jolie a big soft mirror that she's been staring at non-stop!
Monday all the visitors cleared out, Josh went to work, and it was just Jolie, Mommy and Petey. I was almost worried that I wouldn't be able to handle her by myself! But Jolie was awesome and is talking so much! When Dad got home from work, she even rolled over from her tummy to her back! Josh and I can't believe how much she's grown--over the weekend!!!

No pacifier? No problem!
Jolie currently has a cold that she caught from her mommy (way to go MOM! Geez!) so she had to miss school on Monday, but she had a nice little day with Daddy! Today she was doing quite a bit better and even took a 2 1/2 hour nap at school!! She's also discovered that if she doesn't have her pacifier, she has her fist. If she doesn't have her fist, she now has her lips! She's learned to suck her lips in and can keep herself pretty content too.
Here's a little video of her in the bath showing her new skill.

The Week in Review...
This was a very big week at Jolie's house! Grandma Buechler stayed with Jolie Monday-Thursday and had so much fun! She read lots of books, learned lots of new songs and finger painted! We were so sad to see her leave.
Friday was Jolie's first day of school. Dad dropped her off and filled them in on the Jolie instructions. Then called mom at work to fill her in. Then (to make mom feel better) Dad went and hung out with Jolie over lunch. Then called mom at work to fill her in. :) There may have been other phone calls too to check in. Finally after work, I went as fast as I could to pick up Jolie and she survived! :) They said she did great, but didn't sleep much all day.
After we got home and ate supper, Jolie had a meltdown that ended with throw up all over me--which was awesome! Poor little baby was just too tired! So I think next week might be ugly as she adjusts to trying to sleep at school, but hopefully we'll all make it.
We did pretty good at getting everyone around and out the door on time this week and it was nice to have some more adult interaction at work, but I sure did miss that little sweetie! We tried several times to keep Grandma Buechler here all the time, but she thought Grandpa Jeff might miss her. I guess once we get adjusted to school, it won't be so bad, but it sure stinks at first!
And with all this adjusting I didn't get many pictures taken at all. But here's one of her modeling her first pair of jeans.

So much to say
Jolie has been talking up a storm lately! Enjoy!
These are all different videos too. I thought in case you didn't want to watch 3 minutes of Jolie talking, you could just watch a minute at a time. Or you can play all three at once! :)

Here's Jolie doing some cheers to say...

DAY!

Hehe! She loves stretching out but it's so hard to put her down when she's so darn snuggly!
I go back to work tomorrow (another reason it's been hard to put her down!) so we've been getting ready for that this week :( We also had a daycare change this week. We had planned to send Jolie to a daycare near our house, but found out a spot was opening up at the daycare at Josh's work. However its not open quite yet, so Grandma Buechler is coming to stay with Jolie Monday-Thursday and Jolie will have her first day of daycare on Friday. We are very excited to have Grandma Buechler come this week but not very excited to go to daycare on Friday.

Tummy Time
Here's a little video of Jolie hanging out and working those trunk muscles. She's getting so strong!
I was trying to get a video of her talking but whenever I turn the video camera on, she gets quiet, the little stinker. So here's a pretty quiet video of Jolie working out.

Baptism with 'Jolie's Angels'
Jolie was baptized this weekend and what an awesome weekend we had! Nearly 30 people traveled all the way to Des Moines just for Jolie--how cool! In attendance were Grandma and Grandpa Buechler, Uncle Matt, Great Grandma and Grandpa Buechler, Grandma and Grandpa Dibbern, Uncle Brett, Uncle Michael, Ryan, Karen, Jordan and Hannah Rathke, Great Nana, Great Aunt Cyndi and Great Cousin Colby, Great Uncle Doug and Aunt Kellie and Great Cousins Sam, Hayden and Hannah, Great Uncle Brad and Aunt Kim and Great Cousin Sydney--whew I think I got everyone. Hayden and Hannah came up with Great Cousins since they are my first cousins. :) Too cute!
We had a big birthday party (since Josh, Cyndi, Jordan, me, Grandma Dibbern and Hannah all had birthdays recently) and had pizza, cake and ice cream the night before at the hotel. Jolie was spoiled AGAIN with some very cool keepsakes, adorable clothes, lots of great books, her first bracelet, first ring and first pair of jeans! It was ridiculous--you realize our house is pretty small right?!?! :)
The baptism service was great and I think everyone liked it (We think we have an awesome Pastor) Jolie did great through the whole thing and Pastor Timm even tried to keep her! :)
Thank you again to all those who traveled to see Jolie. It was so great to have everyone here and we loved seeing you all!
I didn't get any great pictures of Jolie in her baptism dress so I think we will take it along to her three month pictures and get some professional shots in it because it is super cute!
