2 Months Old

Jolie went to her 2 month doctor's appointment today so we finally have updated stats on her. She weighs 10 lbs 2 oz and is 21 inches long. This puts her at 33% in weight and 11% in length. Woo hoo--she's on the charts!!!

But this also meant we had to start her shots too! That was no fun but she seems to be doing okay. (Although mom was not!) Josh went along so we had lots of support. So far tonight she's been okay...a little fussy, but we'll see how tomorrow goes. We love our doctor...he's super thorough and awesome and told us she was doing great! This is always great to hear since we still aren't quite sure what were doing and if what we're doing is right, so it's nice to be reassured!

It's crazy to think that she's gained only three pounds since she was born, but she seems soooo much bigger now!

Sunshine Day

It was a perfect day out earlier this week so Jolie, mommy and Petey took another little walk around the neighborhood. Jolie seemed pretty content except you can clearly see that she needs some sunglasses. So after dad got home from work Jolie explained to him that she definitely needed some stylin' shades so I picked some up for her over the weekend and was so excited to try them out...then it rained all weekend! Boo!

GO BIG RED!

Today was the first day of NFL draft and in honor of our favorite Husker Ndamukong Suh getting picked 2nd Jolie put on her favorite team colors.

GO BIG RED! And now let's change the channel because I can only handle so much analyzing! :)

Daddy's Birthday!

Today is Josh’s 26th birthday! Although the day was rather uneventful Jolie did manage to send her well wishes to Dad at work and I hear there is also some golf stuff in the mail as well. Happy Birthday Daddy!

On the road again

Thursday night we took a trip to see Josh’s parents in Graettinger and stayed until Sunday. The car was full again plus we also brought the pack and play and Josh’s golf clubs. (It’s a good thing we got a bigger vehicle before she arrived!)

We had so much fun and Jolie got to meet her Great Grandma and Grandpa Pedersen and her cousin Henry! Henry was born in December so they are pretty close in age, but right now Henry has a pretty good jump on her size!  Great Aunt Cindy and Great Uncle Kevin, Sara and Henry came from South Dakota and Matt, Arah and Ali all took a break from studying to visit so Grandma B made an awesome lunch for all of us, including plenty of leftovers for us to take home—score! Then Jolie and Henry entertained all of us and let us take lots of pictures. And I’m lame again because I knew Josh packed the camera but I couldn’t find it and every time I needed it, I couldn’t find Josh to ask him where it was. Luckily Grandma B had hers handy so hopefully I can add more pictures soon!

Sibling Love

Petey and Jolie are getting along really well. Jolie loves staring at Petey and Petey loves everything Jolie! If she was laying on a blanket, as soon as I pick her up, Petey runs over and rolls all over where she was laying. Whenever we change her clothes, we have to try to pick them up right away because Petey loves to take them behind the chair, especially her socks and those little things are hard to find! However Petey is having a very hard time understanding that Jolie’s toys are not for Petey—even though they are the perfect size for him and make fun sounds! Tonight we were playing with a toy and Petey was slowly getting closer and closer to her toy. As soon as I’d say ‘Petey’ he’d lay on his side and ask for a tummy rub. He thinks he’s very sneaky, but I know his tricks! (Notice the toy in the middle of the two of them)

Texts to Dad

Here’s some pictures I’ve sent to Josh recently while he’s at work. I also started using Skype again (Josh and I used to video chat while he was on clinical rotations) and Jolie got to video chat with her Grandma Dibbern! So if anyone else uses Skype and wants to talk to Jolie, let us know and we’ll be happy to talk online! She’s pretty technically advanced!

Holy Bow!

We’ve come to the conclusion that we are going to have a bald baby as Jolie’s hair is falling out everywhere! But luckily I found some super cute bows to accessorize with until she gets her hair back. I found some to match pretty much any outfit on my favorite website—Etsy! Plus we’re very excited to see what color her hair will be—brown or blonde?

Easter Dress--take 2

I noticed we didn't get any good pictures of Jolie in her Easter dress last weekend and yesterday we went to our church here, so I figured they needed to see her in her Easter dress too! Hope you enjoy!

little walk

We took another little walk the other night and although the video below is short, I can assure you that Jolie's expression didn't change once while we were on our walk. She just stared at us with a very serious, unsure look the whole time!

Also notice her 2010 Vancouver Olympics hat! My friend Jenna was at the Olympics (how cool!) and picked that up for Jolie which is even cooler because Jolie was born during the Olympics! What an awesome keepsake! I'm pretty sure she's the only baby in the neighborhood with one so all the other kids were totally jealous of her style. :)

The Lip has returned

When Jolie was born one of the first things she did was stick out her bottom lip and make the saddest little face ever before she started to cry. It was precious. She did this at the hospital but then 'the lip' took a little hiatus. However, recently it has returned! It's so hard not to laugh even though she's about to cry because it's so dang cute! It could also be called 'the face that Josh can't say NO to' which could be dangerous in future years. We caught it a little bit in the video below if you want to check it out. And sorry for my laughing at it, but right now it's my entertainment!

We Survived! :)

Here is a picture of all the stuff we hauled back to Nebraska. We had a bag of bottles and small cooler to store milk for the ride, pump, car seat, boppy pillow, a tote full of diapers, wipes and clothes, Lindsay's suitcase, Lindsay's purse, diaper bag, and swing. I forgot to include the stroller and car seat base in the picture. Ridiculous right?! And then consider that Josh and Petey came on Friday with their stuff and we all rode back together plus all the spoiling with gifts that everyone did...I didn't know if we'd all fit! But we made it there and back and have a good long trip under our belt. Jolie decided that she'll travel well for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours and then I think her little butt must get sore or she gets tired of being all squished up because it gets a little ugly after that. However we are learning that we she can cry for a little bit and it will be okay. :) We are kind of spastic parents but are learning more every day! This weekend definitely helped Lindsay to relax a little more with her and realize that not every little noise she makes is a crisis. :)

Here's the new room that Grandma and Grandpa Dibbern set up for us in the 'Bronco Room'--check out the matching crib sheets! Jolie slept great while we were there and she's been doing much better at home too!

And oh my goodness! Was she ever spoiled! Here's a picture of just the bunnies we took home! Can you find Jolie? (hint: she's in the monkey pajamas)

It was also 'Tour de Jolie' over the weekend and Jolie went to Grandma Dibbern's work at Wood River Elementary, Great Grandma and Grandpa Dibbern's, met a bunch of people over for Saturday coffee, the mall, church, and a Sunday brunch! And Grandma Dibbern took Jolie shopping and let's just say she now has more clothes than Josh! Mom and Dad barely got to hold her until we got back home but were happy to share.

We'll be celebrating a late Easter in a couple weeks with Josh's side in Graettinger and are already excited for 'Tour de Jolie' part two!!!

So Happy Easter to everyone and if you'd like to see more pictures, I added a bunch to our Shutterfly site (click the photo link on the side).
