Memorial Weekend

Happy Memorial Day Weekend! I hope you all enjoyed the start of summer! We had a big, fun week at the Buechler house! Thursday Josh had off of work so he got to hang out with Jolie all day. They even came to visit Mommy at work and brought her work and said 'hello' to all her work buddies. I tried convincing them that she could fit into my one of my desk drawers and hang out all day, but I suppose it might be a problem when we need to do diaper changes.

Friday while Mom and Dad were at work, Jolie got to hang out all day with Grandma and Grandpa Dibbern and Uncle Brett--and she managed to keep all of them busy! At school the ratio is 4 infants for 1 teacher, but at home it's 1 infant for many adults! Friday evening we went to do Jolie's three month pictures which we thought would be easy compared to her newborn. Of course, we were so wrong! Jolie was not a happy camper and started yelling the minute we got everything set up. We noticed she was a little happier outside, so we ended up taking almost all of them outside in an ally! Good grief-she can be a stinker!

Saturday Josh was working so we spent the day again with Grandma and Grandpa Dibbern and Uncle Brett. Grandma took Jolie and Petey for a walk and Petey ended up riding in the stroller--which he thought was awesome! Jolie even gave her Uncle Brett a little ‘present’ when he was feeding her, in the form of a blow out diaper that got on Brett’s pants too. That’s how you know she really loves you—she’ll poop on you!  Then once Josh got home we went to Jolie's favorite place--THE MALL! And of course, she got lots of new clothes and is ready for a fashion show this summer.

Sunday we had a shift change. Grandma and Grandpa Dibbern and Uncle Brett left for Nebraska and Grandma and Grandpa Buechler came to Des Moines. Grandma Buechler had been busy with a surprise for us. When she watched Jolie earlier this month, she was very sneaky and took some hand and foot prints and put them into a very cool frame that matches her room! She said Jolie was quite the artist and enjoyed squishing paint in her hands but she really had to pry them open to get hand prints! It turned out awesome and was a very cool surprise! She also found Jolie a big soft mirror that she's been staring at non-stop!

Monday all the visitors cleared out, Josh went to work, and it was just Jolie, Mommy and Petey. I was almost worried that I wouldn't be able to handle her by myself! But Jolie was awesome and is talking so much! When Dad got home from work, she even rolled over from her tummy to her back! Josh and I can't believe how much she's grown--over the weekend!!!
