Josh took Jolie in to see her good friend Dr. Timboe on Tuesday and he gave us the ‘Seal of Approval’ and said she’s doing great!
She weighed in at 12lbs 2oz (19% on the growth chart) and was 24 ½ inches long (60% on the growth chart). I’m pretty sure this is the highest anyone in my family has ever been in height on the growth chart! And while it probably won’t last for long, for now, we can say that Jolie is tall. How exciting!
Dr. Timboe has a little boy who is three weeks younger than Jolie and he suggested we should introduce them in about 16 years, because he thinks Jolie is going to be a little cutie. But Josh corrected him and said 25 years! Good grief!
Josh learned the hard way that spit up tastes horrible. Who would have thought? He was lifting Jolie above his head and she had a direct hit of some spit up—right into Josh’s mouth! Jolie also thought it was so funny when she pulled Josh’s chest hair and Josh was yelling ‘Ow!’ She’s been beating up on her dad lately!
We’re heading to Nebraska this weekend so we’ll have lots of updates when we get back. Everyone have a safe and happy 4th! Make sure to be careful with those fireworks and wear sunscreen!!
