Pumpkin Patch!

Jolie, Nana, Brett, Mommy and Daddy went to a pumpkin patch in the area and it was AWESOME!
Picking out the perfect pumpkin

Why walk when you can ride with the pumpkins you picked out?

A slide into a "corn" box. Mommy wanted to get one of these until she found out it might not be so nice if it got wet...

Teaching uncle Brett how to drive a tractor

Riding the cows with dad.

Hay bale jungle gym!

A giant slide (mommy was too scared to go down..)

Jumping into a pile of hay! Everyone with allergies nightmare

A giant trampoline made out of a tarp hooked up to an air compressor. It was awesome!

Summer continued...

Jolie's had a very busy summer and it just flew by! Here's some pictures of what she's been up to!

Jolie was at Nana Buechler's and by the looks of all those hair clips, it was anything goes!
Swimming at the kiddy pool at Harmon Park in Kearney
Riding the rides at the county fair!
 Painting in the driveway

Acting like a goof in the bath!
We got some new shoes. These are the one's mommy suggested....
These are the ones we got...note the princesses
Jolie has become more than a little princess crazy. From clothes to shoes to toys, if it's not princess, it's not happening.

Summer fun! and a failed experiment

We tried potty training this past weekend. It went poorly. Very. :-( Just might not be ready yet

Mommy had her wisdom teeth out Friday, so Jolie and Daddy have finding things to do to let Mommy sleep, like go to the park!
And eating ice cream!
Playing in the sprinkler

Squirting Daddy and Petey

And dragging Daddy through the sprinkler!

Flower power

Jolie was asked to be a flower girl in Josh's cousin's wedding. So after a dress dilemma, purchasing multiple pairs of shoes to "get the ride shade of ivory" Jolie was all set to be a flower girl. But in order to get to that point, we had to get her on a plane, convince her to walk down the aisle, get her to share the spotlight with Katie (the bride), refer to her as "Princess Jolie" for the duration of the trip, etc. Oh, just check out the pictures....
Getting fitted for her dress. From this moment forward, she was to be referred to as Princess Jolie. She would correct you if you didn't....seriously
Did great on our first airplane ride!
She was only willing to play a MAJOR role in this wedding. Front and center or throw a fit, no other options

She ended up doing great with her flower girl duties, throwing them all in one big pile. This was the final practice run right before the wedding.

Josh's cousin Jack was a major help with getting "Princess Jolie" shuffled around.

At the reception, the head table was up on a stage, this is where Jolie felt she belonged as well...

Our best attempt to keep her in one spot for a family photo

At the aquarium!
Swimming at Cocoa Key!

We had a great time in Ohio and want to thank Bill and Joni for being wonderful hosts. Katie was a beautiful bride as we knew she would be and we couldn't be happier for her. We warned her Jolie would not be ok with playing second fiddle in her wedding, she thought we were kidding....Thanks again!

Remember that independence we mentioned?

This is a very mild video of Jolie's newfound independence (we don't want to upset any grandparents who may wish to think princess Jolie would never throw a fit or freak out). More to come in future posts.

Last weekend we went to Lincoln for a day and went to the children's zoo! Someone was excited to go.
We didn't get too many great pictures but Jolie had a good time

She loved watching the penguins!
Enjoying the park!

Summer's getting started!

It's amazing what a difference one year makes! Jolie has been much more adventurous and just into more things than she was last year at this time. Which also means her parents are busier trying to keep up with her! Jolie is talking more and more, getting braver and braver, and getting INDEPENDENT. Getting into the car seat has now turned into a 15 minute process. Putting her clothes on has become a 10 minute process. Needless to say, we are getting up earlier in the mornings to accomodate all this newfound independence.
Woo hoo...
Showing dad how to drive a tractor
Lately all wagon rides must have Petey as personal escort/bodyguard

Drving the 4-wheeler at papa and nana's!

Feeding ducks at the lake

Being Captain Safety for boat rides

Proud of buckling herself in to her car seat (after 20 minutes of yelling at her parents not to help her)

Helping dad weed the garden and then showing off her efforts (note the shoes)

ABC's!

We'd first of all like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support, prayers, and everything did for the Dibbern family after we tragically lost Mark, Lindsay's uncle, just a few weeks ago. It was all very overwhelming. We appreciate everything you did.

Jolie has been very active since last month, she's talking more and more, getting into more and more things, I guess the theme has just been "more and more" She loves to play dress up and be a princess, she loves singing her ABCs, twinkle twinkle, and the itsy bitsy spider, and going outside to water the flowers and play with the sprinklers. She also gets very annoyed with her parents who haven't quite picked up on all of her new vocabulary yet to totally understand what it is she wants! We're getting better though.
Here's some pictures and videos from the past month, we'll try and get this updated more often as I'm sure summer will bring many photo/video opportunities!

Busy month!

Jolie and her family have been busy since our last post. We've been to Des Moines to see old friends and coworkers, figuring out how to drive Jolie's new ride (see below), had a successful garage sale, and more playing outside!

One of our first rides on the new "Vespa"
But we got better at it...

We got a new bubble maker!

Jolie stayed home with dad one Saturday and picked out her own clothes...
And then made a small mess...
Then we helped Papa Dibbern plant some corn!
Watered the flowers

And then finally took a break!
